NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Florida Building Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from Joseph R. Hetzel, P.E., on behalf of Door & Access Systems Manufacturers Association International, on October 23, 2007, regarding whether product approval wind load testing per ANSI/DASMA 108 of garage door assemblies, as required by section 1714.5.3.1, Florida Building Code, Building Volume (2004 as amended 12/05 and 12/06) will include and qualify fasteners attaching the garage door assembly to the vertical wood jambs, and the jamb-to-building frame fasteners. It has been assigned the number DCA07-DEC-255.
