Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A18.1, Section 3.1.2.2, as adopted by Chapter 30, Section 3001.2, Florida Building Code, adopted by paragraph 61C-5.001(1)(a), Florida Administrative Code, that requires platform lifts to have a headroom clearance during travel not less than 1,500 mm which poses a significant economic/ financial hardship.
