Notice is hereby given that the Board of Medicine has received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed on behalf of Albert Saltiel, M.D., on December 5, 2014. The Petitioner seeks a declaratory statement from the Board with regard to whether in light of the facts set forth in the Petition, the Petitioner, after resigning his privileges along with the other intensivists of the Group, in accordance with the Hospital’s Medical Staff Bylaws and with 30 days prior written notice, would be obligated to find a replacement physician or to continue caring for the patients in the hospital after his resignation date in order to avoid being subject to a violation of paragraph 458.331(1)(t), F.S., or whether the hospital would be the responsible party for arranging for an adequate replacement physician to treat the hospital’s patients after the resignation date. The Board will consider this petition at its meeting currently scheduled for February 6, 2015. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
