The Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling hereby gives notice:

of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petitioner for Variance or Waiver submitted by Kristen Thompson, on July 12, 2019. The Notice was published in Volume 45, No. 158, of the Florida Administrative Register, August 14, 2019. The Petitioner was seeking a variance and waiver from Rule 64B4-3.0085, F.A.C., which sets forth the requirements for intern registration. The Board considered the Petition at its meeting held on August 15, 2019 in Orlando, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on September 11, 2019, denies the petition for variance and waiver finding that the Petitioner did not meet the purpose of the underlying statute by other means and that application of the rule at issue to Petitioner would not violate principles of fairness or cause a substantial hardship.
