The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that the Florida Governmental Utility Authority’s project involving the construction of a deep injection well for the disposal of excess treated wastewater at the Del Prado Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lee County is not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The total estimated construction cost is $3,900,000. The project may qualify for a Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan comprised of federal or state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed project that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice.
