- During the 2017 legislative session, Section 1002.333, Florida Statutes, was enacted thus allowing for the establishment and operation of Schools of Hope in the areas of persistently low-performing public schools. The statute directs the Department of Education to adopt rules to implement the section of law and to develop and adopt standard forms to be used.
