The Board of Opticianry hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order Denying Petition for Variance and Waiver, filed by Tracy Hicks on October 28, 2024. The Notice of Petition for Waiver and Variance was published in Vol. 50, No. 221, of the November 12, 2024, Florida Administrative Register. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on December 6, 2024, via video conference. The Board’s Order, filed on December 13, 2024, denied the petition. The Board found that petitioner’s request was defective, because she requested a variance and waiver for a rule that had been repealed.
