    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 10, 2012, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for 601 Copeland Building. Petitioner seeks a variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1, Section 2.20.4, and 2.24.2.1 as adopted by 61C-5.001(1)(a), Florida Administrative Code that requires steel ropes of a minimum diameter of 9.5 mm and sheaves and drums which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
