The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that the City of Mary Esther’s project involving the installation of approximately 47,000 linear feet of water distribution pipe in five phases, and minor rehabilitation of water treatment plants #1 and #3 is not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The estimated cost for the water distribution project and rehab is $9.6 million. The project may qualify for an SRF drinking water loan composed of federal and state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed project that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice.
