    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 16, 2024, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Maus & Haufman at 312 Worth Ave., Palm Beach, FL 33480. Petitioner seeks an Emergency Permanent variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1, 1996, edition, Section 101.3D(1)(A), as adopted by 61C-5.001, Florida Administrative Code that requires access doors to machine rooms and overhead machinery spaces shall: (a) for machine rooms, be of a minimum width of 30 in. (762 mm) and a minimum height of 6 ft (1829 mm); for other spaces as specified in Rules 10 1.4(b) and (c), be of a minimum width and height of 30 in. (762 mm), which poses a significant economic/financial hardship. Any interested person may file comments within 5 days of the publication of this notice with Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, 2601 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-1013 (VW2024-193).
