    61G20-1.001Florida Building Code Adopted

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To open the aforementioned rule for development to address the statutorily required triennial update process. The Commission shall conduct a rule development workshop to accept public input regarding the approved modifications/supplement to the selected edition of the model codes. The combination of the selected model codes (2015 International Codes) and the approved modifications/supplement comprise the 6th Edition (2017) Florida Building Code pursuant to the triennial update process specified in Sections 553.73(3) and (7), F.S. Local technical amendments to the 5th Edition (2014) Florida Building Code and continuation of previously adopted Florida-specific amendments will also be considered. The approved modifications supplement is available on the Commission's website, www.floridabuilding.org.
