GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The St. Johns River Water Management District (District) will hold a virtual meeting on January 12th as part of the peer review process for the surface water model developed to support establishing protective minimum levels for East and West Crystal Lakes in Seminole County, Florida. The purpose of establishing minimum levels is to protect these lakes from significant harm due to groundwater or surface water withdrawals. In August 2023 the District completed development of a Hydrological Simulation Program - Fortran (HSPF) model for the Crystal Chain of Lakes. A kick-off meeting for the peer review of this HSPF model was held on December 13, 2023. During the upcoming January 12th meeting the model peer reviewer will present initial findings for the Crystal Chain of Lakes HSPF model review. One or more members of the District’s Governing Board may attend this meeting.
