  • NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Construction Industry Licensing Board has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Utility Meter Services on September 02, 2010. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:
    The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Vol. 36, No. 39, of the October 1, 2010, Florida Administrative Weekly. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on October 15, 2010. The petition requested the Board’s interpretation of Chapter 489, Part I, Florida Statutes, and whether a license is required under Chapter 489, Part I, Florida Statutes, for reading meters. The Board’s Order, filed on October 8, 2010, answers the Petition for Declaratory Statement. The Board determined that a license is not required for simple reading of meters pursuant to Chapter 489, Part 1, Florida Statutes.
