NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on December 14, 2011, the Board of Medicine issued a Final Order on the petition for declaratory statement filed on behalf of Ara J. Deukmedjian, M.D. The Notice of the Petition was published in Vol. 37, No. 36, of the September 9, 2011, issue of the Florida Administrative Weekly. The Board reviewed the Petition at its meeting held on September 30, 2011. The Board’s Final Order finds that under the facts outlined in the Petition, the Board does not have enough information to determine whether Petitioner is prescribing controlled substances for the treatment of chronic nonmalignant pain as defined in Section 456.44(1)(d), F.S., and therefore the Board declined to answer the Petitioner’s inquiry.
