    NOTICE OF CHANGE

    Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 50 No. 157, August 12, 2024 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.

     

    The changes are in response to written comments submitted by the staff of the Joint Administrative Procedures Committee and discussion and subsequent vote by the board at a public meeting held November 15, 2024. The changes are as follows:

    64B15-6.003 Physician Assistant Licensure.

    (1) Requirements for Licensure.

    (a) through (b) No change.

    (c) All applicants for licensure as physician assistants for Temporary Certificate for Physician Assistants to Practice in an Area of Critical Need pursuant to Section 458.315, or 459.0076 459.0075, F.S., shall apply on Form DH-MQA 5088, entitled Temporary Certificate for Physician Assistants to Practice in an Area of Critical Need (06/24),  hereby adopted and incorporated by reference, and can be obtained from the website at http://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-     , or http://flboardofmedicine.gov/licensing/physician-assistant-licensure/.

    (2) through (4) No change.

    Changes to Form DH-MQA 5088 includes:

    Page 5, No 3. APPROVED FACILITY: First paragraph after block reads:

    *Provide the type of facility you will be practicing in if you are anticipating practicing in an area of critical need as determined by the State Surgeon General, or for a limited time to address critical physician-specialty, demographic, or geographic needs for Florida’s physician workforce as determined by the State Surgeon General.
