    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites the community to a public hearing about proposed safety improvements to the State Road 37/S. Florida Avenue at Lake Harris Drive intersection.

    The proposed improvements include modifying existing full median opening to a dual directional opening. Currently all movements are allowed at the median opening. With this change, left turns and through movements out of Lake Harris Drive and S. Lakeland Drive will be restricted to improve safety at the intersection. Drivers will continue to be able to make left turns from SR 37/S. Florida Ave.

    This hearing consists of an open house from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., allowing people time to view displays, ask questions, and discuss the work one-on-one with members of the project team. There will be a brief audio-visual presentation about the project at 5:30 p.m. followed by a public comment period. Following, the open house will continue until 7:00 p.m.
