The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on September 14, 2015, by Elizabeth Burland. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 41, No. 187, of the September 25, 2015 Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance or waiver regarding the requirement of providing an official transcript. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on November 9, 2015, by telephone conference call.
The Board’s Order, filed on November 18, 2015, granted the petition stating that the Board found that the petition was in substantial compliance with the provisions of Section 120.542, F.S., and Chapter 28-104, F.A.C. Petitioner has met the purpose of the underlying statute, and that application of the rule to Petitioner would cause a substantial hardship.
