    NOTICE OF CHANGE

    Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 38, No. 69, November 9, 2012 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.

    Paragraph (3)(d) is amended to read:

    (d) The applicant will disclose on a prominent place on its website the disclosure information required under Section 1002.45(2)(a)7., F.S. Average student-teacher ratios are to be calculated for full-time and part-time teachers and for core and elective courses for the following grade-level bands: grades K-3, grades 4-8, and grades 9-12. The total number of students assigned to full-time teachers must be provided. Student completion rate calculations are to include all students who complete the enrollment process and begin the virtual instruction program as evidenced by the completion of at least one (1) lesson or assignment. Student performance accountability outcomes are to include student assessment results for all students and by the following subgroups: major racial and ethnic groups, economically disadvantaged students, students with disabilities and students with limited English proficiency. “Major racial and ethnic groups” shall include those groups reported for accountability purposes under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) in any state or, if no such prior reporting is available, shall include, at a minimum: American Indian, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic, and White.

    Section 1002.45, F.S., requires the Provider to publish, for the general public, and as part of this application and any subsequent applications or contracts with school districts, the following information:

                  Information and data about the curriculum of each full-time and part-time program. Please include, at minimum, the source or origin of curriculum and course content, specific research and best practice used in design, the basis for and frequency of revisions, research related to effectiveness of curriculum, evidence that content and assessments are accurate, free of bias, and accessible for students with disabilities and limited English proficiency, and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) approval status for each applicable high school course offered.

    Documentation to Support Provider Compliance: Please upload the curriculum and student performance accountability plan required in Section 1002.45(2(a))6., F.S. This plan should include the following items in the order presented below.

    Documentation to Support Provider Compliance: A recent annual financial audit of Provider’s accounts and records conducted by an independent certified public accountant which is in accordance with rules adopted by the Auditor General, including Chapter 10.850, Audits of Charter Schools and Similar Entities, Florida Virtual School, and Virtual Instruction Program Providers, which chapter is incorporated in Rule 61H1-20.0093, F.A.C., and which chapter is incorporated by reference herein is conducted in compliance with generally accepted auditing standards and includes a report on financial statements presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
