    Advertisement: Invitation to Bid, Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC)

    The Florida Department of Transportation will be accepting bids at the DeLand District Office until 2:00 p.m. local time on Friday January 27, 2017 for the construction of a Regional Transportation Management Center in Seminole County. Contract Number E5Y71, Financial Project Number 437100-1-52-01. Budget amount $13,650,000.00, No bid Contingency $150,000.00.

    This project is to construct a new RTMC building based on the final design plans and special technical provisions. The building is approximately 45,000 square feet located on a 7 acre lot. Major items for the construction will include but not be limited to new building construction, secured and unsecured parking, security cameras, site lighting, underground utilities, treatment pond, ITS, and roadway improvements to Wilson Road as indicated within the approved plans and special technical provisions.

    Building Contractors or General Contractors may alternatively obtain the Project Documents and Plans from the Department's Procurement office. Contractors may obtain the Project Documents from the Department’s Procurement office website at http://www.fdot.gov/contracts/d5/MoreLinks.shtm under the link for the Regional Transportation Management Center. Project Plans must be requested as follows:

    Project Plans will be made available to Licensed Building Contractors or General Contractors. Building Contractors or General Contractors requesting the Project Plans from the Department must provide a copy of their current Building Contractors or General Contractors License, and complete and return the Exempt Documents/Security System Plan Distribution form via facsimile to the District Five Contracts Administration office at (850)412-8092 and the documents will be mailed on DVD. The Department will ship documents by USPS. Contractors may receive the documents by overnight courier at their own expense. The Department will not be responsible for these deliveries.

    Prequalification per Rule 14-22 is not required. A Builders License or General Contractors License is required for this project. For Buildings three (3) stories or less in height, a Builders or General Contractor’s license is acceptable. This building is less than 3 stories in height.
