NOTICE OF CORRECTION

Notice is hereby given that the following correction has been made to the proposed rule in Vol. 38, No. 71, November 14, 2012 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.

The summary of the statement of estimated regulatory cost and legislative ratification has been amended as follows: 

The Agency has determined that the proposed rule is not expected to require legislative ratification based on the statement of estimated regulatory costs or if no SERC is required, the information expressly relied upon and described herein 1) no requirement for SERC was triggered under Section 120.541(1), Florida Statutes, and; 2) because the nature of the changes in the proposed rule which add the updated 2013 revised Florida School Bus Specifications are not such that will have any impact on small business. While updating the Florida School Bus Specifications the Department has sought to decrease wherever prudent any costs to vendors, such as  reducing unlimited mileage warranty requirements and deleting others; eliminating requirements for additional transmission performance testing and documentation; deleting special requirements for non-standard design of school bus electrical systems; deleting requirements for non-standard interior paint color; and, deleting numerous other obsolete or unnecessary “Florida-specific” design specifications that are now standard construction or are no longer necessary to ensure student safety.  Thus, there is no increase in regulatory costs expected.
