The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 40, No. 196, of the October 8, 2014, Florida Administrative Register. The petitioner seeks a declaratory statement regarding whether he is exempt from licensure as defined in Sections 489.105 and 489.113, Florida Statutes. The Construction Industry Licensing Board considered the Petition at its meeting held on November 14, 2014, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on January 30, 2015, stated that because there is no disassembly of the dryer exhaust system in order to clean the dryer vent using the method described, a mechanical contractors license is not necessary.
