The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: February 21, 2017, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
PLACE: 78th Street Community Library, 7625 Palm River Road, Tampa, Florida 33619
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Seven is holding this design open house to discuss SR 60 (Adamo Drive) project. The limits are from E of US 301 to W of Kathy Drive in Hillsborough County. The proposed improvements will include widening SR 60, creating a six (6) lane divided roadway between US 301 and Falkenburg Road. Bike lanes and sidewalks will be included on both sides of the new, wider roadway. The existing roadside ditches will be replaced with an under curb drainage system and stormwater pond.
Between Falkenburg Road and Lake Kathy Drive, SR 60 will be repaved. An additional eastbound right turn lane will be added at Brandon Town Center Drive. Sidewalks will be made continuous and bike lanes will be marked.
The existing asphalt portion of the northbound I-75 off-ramp where it connects with SR 60 will be rebuilt with concrete for longer durability. Construction is anticipated to begin this summer and be complete in approximately two years.
The Department is seeking the participation of interested citizens and business/property owners within, and near, the project limits. There will be no formal presentation; therefore, attendees are welcome to arrive anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to view project displays, ask questions, and discuss the work with members of the project design team and FDOT personnel.
