Please join us in celebrating new recreational facilities at the

Lake Apopka North Shore

WHAT: Celebration of the opening of new recreational facilities at the McDonald Canal within the Lake Apopka North Shore

WHERE: McDonald Canal boat ramp, adjacent to the Lake Apopka North Shore trailhead, located at 24600 County Road 448-A, Mount Dora, FL 32757 (signs will be posted)

WHEN: February 23, 2017, 10:30 a.m.

Please join the St. Johns River Water Management District and Lake County Board of County Commissioners to celebrate the opening of new recreational facilities at the McDonald Canal within the Lake Apopka North Shore. The district partnered with Lake County Board of County Commissioners to build the recreational area, featuring an accessible kayak launch and boat ramp as well as new parking, restrooms and picnic facilities. As part of the celebration, attendees are also invited to join a guided kayak tour of the area following the ribbon cutting. A limited number of kayaks are available and participants will receive additional information regarding the tour.
