The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that the City of Wauchula’s project to upgrade and repair the City’s drinking water distribution system, including the construction of a 150,000-gallon elevated storage tank, is not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The total estimated project cost is $35 million. The project may qualify for a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan composed of federal and state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed project that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice.
