Economic Self-Sufficiency Program

The Department of Children and Family Services announces a public meeting to discuss the application process for Medicaid benefits based on age or disability, including nursing home care. Interested parties, including the general public, recipients, family members, advocates and service providers are invited to provide comments and suggestions on the process.

DATE AND TIME: February 23, 2006, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To gather information and comments on the eligibility
determination process for Medicaid benefits based on age or disability, including nursing home care. The process includes the electronic web based application, referrals, notices and communication with staff. (Note: The meeting is not intended to address eligibility criteria such as income and asset limits, or service issues such as access to prescription drugs.)
