64B19-11.005Supervised Experience Requirements
The Board of Psychology hereby gives notice:
Katherine D. Daly, Ph.D., filed a Petition for Variance or Waiver on October 29, 2014, which was published on November 6, 2014, in Vol. 40, No. 217, of the Florida Administrative Register. (Following her waiver of the 90-day deadline for issuance of a disposition thereon, Petitioner filed an identical Petition for Variance or Waiver on January 16, 2015, which was rendered obsolete due to her still-active initial petition; therefore, same was not noticed in the F.A.R.) Petitioner sought a variance or waiver of Rule 64B19-11.005, F.A.C., which requires that applicants complete at least 2,000 hours of post-doctoral experience under a supervisor whose supervision comports with subsection (3). The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on January 23, 2015, in Kissimmee, Florida.
The Board’s Order, filed February 17, 2015, affirmed the Petition finding that the Petition demonstrates that the purpose of the underlying statute has been or will be achieved and that application of the rule imposes a substantial hardship or violates principles of fairness as it relates to subsection (3) only. Petitioner will need to document the additional 280 hours of supervised post-doctoral experience in psychology at the University of Central Florida.
