The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four announces a Public Hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, February 26, 2019, Open House Public Hearing, 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Study Description: SR 5/US 1 from Sample Road to Palm Beach County Line

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, will conduct a Public Hearing for the proposed improvement of SR 5/US 1 from Sample Road to Palm Beach County Line Project. The Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday February 26, 2019 at The Hillsboro Community Center located at 50 Hillsboro Technology Drive, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. The Public Hearing will begin as an open house at 3:30 pm, with formal presentations at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., followed by a public comment period. The proposed improvements are: Median widening to provide 5’ bike lanes, replace traffic signals at the SR 5/US 1 and NE 2nd Street/ Eller Street intersection, add street lighting at SR 5/US 1 and NE 2nd Street/ Eller Street intersection, modify existing median opening at NE 41st Street/Vintage Drive to allow only left turns into the side street, reconstruct curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) criteria and mill and resurface existing pavement.
