Final Order No.: DEO-16-026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity issued Final Order No. DEO-16-026 on February 18, 2016, in response to an application submitted by The Villas West Homeowner’s Association, Inc. for covenant revitalization under Chapter 720, Part III, Florida Statutes.
The Department determined that the application did not meet the statutory requirements for covenant revitalization because the application was not supported by a majority of the affected parcel owners in violation of section 720.405(6), Florida Statutes, and the submission lacked any evidence relating to the creation or identity of an organizing committee in violation of section 720.405(1), Florida Statutes. Accordingly, the Department’s Final Order denied the application for covenant revitalization.
