The Board of Physical Therapy Practice hereby gives notice of the issuance of a Notice of Intent to Deny Petition for Variance or Waiver of Rule 64B17-4.002, F.A.C., filed on January 26, 2015, by Izabella Koyfman. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Vol. 41, No. 18, of the January 28, 2015 Florida Administrative Register. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting on February 13, 2015. The Petitioner sought a waiver of the provision of subsection 64B17-4.002(4), F.A.C., which requires applicants for licensure to take and pass the Florida Jurisprudence Examination.
The Board found that Petitioner failed to demonstrate how she has met the purpose of the underlying statute by other means, or how principles of fairness would be violated. Accordingly, the Board voted to deny the Petition for a Variance or Waiver. The Board filed its notice on March 5, 2015.
