NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 23, 2015, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Gulf Coast Medical. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1b, Section 2.2.2.5, and FBC 3008.1(3)(e) as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), F.A.C., that requires upgrading the elevators sump and pump operations and which poses a significant economic/financial hardship. Any interested person may file comments within 5 days of the publication of this notice with Mark Boutin, Bureau of Elevator Safety, 1940 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-1013 (VW2015-048).
