The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is hosting an Alternatives Public Workshop as part of the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study of State Road (SR) 29 from CR 80A (Cowboy Way) to CR 731 (Whidden Road) in Hendry and Glades Counties, Florida. FDOT invites all members of the public to attend.
DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., open house
PLACE: LaBelle Civic Center, 481 Highway 80 West (behind City Hall), LaBelle, FL
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This meeting offers people the opportunity to express their views about the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of widening this segment of SR 29 to four lanes including the addition of a new bridge over the Caloosahatchee River, Financial Project ID 417878-1-22-01. Please note that a third build alternative has been added as a result of comments received at the Public Information Workshop held on November 3, 2016.
The FDOT sent notices of this public workshop to property owners located within 300 feet either side of the proposed project alternatives within the study limits. FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
