    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of the proposed rule development is to establish performance standards for school readiness programs.
    SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: The proposed rule development will address performance standards for school readiness programs. Section 411.01(3)(d)8., Florida Statutes, requires the Agency to adopt performance standards that address the age-appropriate progress of children in the development of the school readiness skills specified in Section 411.01(4)(j), Florida Statutes. The performance standards are to be integrated with the performance standards adopted by the Department of Education for children in the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program under Section 1002.67, Florida Statutes.
