South Florida Water Management District

The South Florida Water Management District announces public meetings to which all persons are invited.

DATES AND TIMES: February 11, 2015, 2:00 p.m., Governing Board Project & Lands Committee Meeting; February 12, 2015, 9:00 a.m., Governing Board Regular Business Meeting

PLACE: SFWMD Headquarters, B-1 Building, 3301 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33406

All or part of these meetings may be conducted as a teleconference in order to permit maximum participation by Governing Board members. The Governing Board may take official action on any item appearing on the agendas for the meetings and on any item that is added to the agendas for the meetings as a result of a change to the agendas approved by the presiding officer of the meetings pursuant to Section 120.525, Florida Statutes.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Governing Board will discuss and consider District business, including regulatory and non-regulatory matters; and the Governing Board will consider a budget amendment to the District’s Fiscal Year 2014-2015 budget in the amount of $1,655,000 to increase the External Grant Fund by $1,655,000 from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for water quality studies to support the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan.

The proposed budget amendment is contingent upon approval by the Executive Office of the Governor and would increase the South Florida Water Management District’s budget to $722,047,791.
