Proposal for Community Transportation Coordinator
LEGAL NOTICE
DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners is accepting proposals from qualified agencies or firms for the award of a contract to operate transportation services for the transportation disadvantaged in DeSoto County, Florida. The selected contractor will be the designated Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC) for the Transportation Disadvantaged, as authorized by Chapter 427, Florida Statutes, and more fully described in Rule 41-2 of the Florida Administrative Code. Request for Proposals may be obtained from Cindy Talamantez, CPPB, Purchasing Manager, c.talamantez@desotobocc.com or call (863) 993-4816. Completed proposals must be received by 2:00 p.m. EST on March 18, 2013 at the DeSoto County Purchasing Department. One original, three (3) copies of the proposal must be submitted to: DeSoto County Purchasing Department, Cindy Talamantez, CPPB, Purchasing Manager, 201 E. Oak Street, Suite 203, Arcadia, Florida 34266.
The outside of the envelope or box containing the proposal must be marked “Proposal for Community Transportation Coordinator.” Faxed and electronically mailed responses will not be accepted. DeSoto County will accept no responsibility for proposals not so marked. Proposals are to remain in effect for ninety (90) calendar days from date of submission. DeSoto County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any formality concerning proposals, or negotiate changes to the proposals whenever such rejection or waiver or negotiation is in the best interest of the State and the transportation disadvantaged. Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on February 15, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board Room of the DeSoto County Administration Building, 201 East Oak Street, Arcadia, Florida 34266.
