    The Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Environmental Assessment and Restoration, announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This is the third meeting of the Bacteria Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and is a follow-up to TAC meetings held on August 20, 2013 in Tallahassee and November 19, 2013, in Orlando. The TAC meeting is associated with the development of rules intended to comprehensively revise fecal indicator bacteria surface water quality criteria in Chapter 62-302, F.A.C., and the associated impaired water methodologies in Chapter 62-303, F.A.C., as well as to establish statewide bacteria Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) in Chapter 62-304, F.A.C., and appropriate restoration actions to implement the TMDL. This meeting will focus on options for expressing a statewide bacteriological TMDL and implementation provisions to expedite restoration activities. Restoration activities for different types of sources will also be discussed.
