State Plan Amendment

Medicare Part D Change for Individuals Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid
The Agency for Health Care Administration is submitting an amendment to the Medicaid State Plan to implement a change in Section 175 of the Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA), which amended section 1860D-2(e)(2)(A) of the Act to include Medicare coverage for certain drugs that were formerly covered by Medicaid, effective January 2013. Individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid will continue to have coverage for these drugs.
