    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has cancelled the public meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2014. A new meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CST, at the New Testament Fellowship, 812 North W Street, Pensacola. The FDOT invites you to attend a public information meeting concerning proposed improvements to State Road (S.R.) 10A (U.S. 90/Mobile Highway) and S.R. 727 (Fairfield Drive) in Escambia County.

    Improvements to S.R. 10A (U.S. 90/Mobile Highway) from west of Edison Avenue to Lynch Street include resurfacing the existing roadway, extension of the right turn lane at the intersection with S.R. 727 (Fairfield Drive), the addition of a right turn lane on S.R. 727 (Fairfield Drive) at S.R. 10A (U.S. 90/Mobile Highway), sidewalk and pedestrian feature upgrades to meet current Americans with Disabilities Standards, minor safety upgrades, and placement of new signs and pavement markings. Additional right-of-way will be required for the turn lane improvements at S.R. 727 (Fairfield Drive). Improvements to S.R. 10A (U.S.90/Cervantes Street) from V Street to S.R. 292 (Pace Boulevard) include resurfacing the existing roadway, upgrading sidewalk and pedestrian features to meet current Americans with Disabilities Standards, and placement of signs and pavement markings. Construction will take place within existing FDOT right-of-way. The department anticipates receiving bids for constructing both projects in the fall of 2015.
