    DUVAL COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS-Invitation to Bid-For a General or Building Contractor -Publish Date – February 5, 2016. Sealed bids will be received by Duval County Public Schools, Division of Facilities, Room 535, 1701 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32207 until the time and date(s) recorded below and immediately thereafter publicly opened and recorded in the Duval County Public Schools, School Board Building, located at 1701 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, Florida, 5th Floor, Room 538. BIDS ARE DUE ON OR BEFORE MARCH 8, 2016 AND WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 2 PM. OFFICIAL PROJECT TITLE: Life Safety Egress Project-Group 3A at Schools No. 31, 45, 75, 169, 212, 233, 235, 240, 243/DCSB Project No. M-83680/OFDC-ITB-007-16. SCOPE OF WORK: The project consists of new secondary egress doors; new double-acting egress doors; demo and infill of louvers/dampers; new hardware; associated demo, electrical, flooring, CMU painting, drywall, signage, and millwork adjustments at nine (9) schools: Julia Landon MS No. 31, Dinsmore ES No. 45, Paxon SAS No. 75, S.A. Hull ES No. 169, Jean Ribault MS No. 212, Lone Star ES No. 233, Ft. Caroline ES No. 235, Arlington Heights ES No. 240, and Gregory Drive ES No. 243. The estimated construction cost is not to exceed $150,000. All contractors that are interested in bidding are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference to be held February 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Duval County Public Schools, 1701 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32207, Room 513D. Failure to attend the pre-bid conference shall result in disqualification of that firm’s proposal. Attendees will be required to sign an attendance register. Project funding is subject to availability of funds as authorized by the Owner. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All Contractors submitting bids must be prequalified with Duval County Public Schools at the time of the bid opening. No bids will be accepted from Contractors who are not prequalified with Duval County Public Schools.
