    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Construction Industry Licensing Board has received the petition for declaratory statement from Darren Elkind, Esq., on behalf of Patrick J. Hubbard, on January 29, 2018.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Section 489.113(9)(b)2, F.S., as it applies to the petitioner.

    Petitioner seeks an opinion regarding whether a licensed contractor can submit his or her own drawing, specifications, plans, or master design manuals for his/her use and to prepare site-specific drawings, specifications, or plans for the design and construction of single-family and two-family dwellings, swimming pools, spas, or screened enclosures; or any other structure not exceeding 1,200 square feet or one story in height without a licensed engineer or architect signing and sealing the drawings. If the answer is yes, can the contractor perform structural design and calculations utilizing ASCE7-10. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
