    RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:

    62-505.350Grant Funding

The Dept. of Environmental Protection hereby gives notice that on January 27, 2015, the Department entered a Final Order (OGC #14-0738) which granted the City of Dunnellon’s petition for a one-time variance from the provisions of subsection 62-505.350(4), F.A.C., thereby allowing the City to be reimbursed for all eligible costs incurred, up to the grant amount, upon receipt of complete disbursement requests including all deliverables. The Petition was received on December 11, 2014, and the notice of receipt of the Petition was published in the FAR on December 22, 2014.

Subsection 62-505.350(4), F.A.C., limits grant funds to no more than $500,000 annually (fiscal year July 1 to June 30). However, construction of the grant project commenced on October 13, 2014, and the construction contract completion date is March 12, 2015. Therefore, grant eligible costs incurred will exceed the $500,000 annual limitation. The underlying statute will be achieved because the variance will allow for the timely completion of construction of the wastewater management systems.
