    The St. Johns River Water Management District announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Rule Development Workshop to discuss and receive public input on proposed rule amendments associated with the prevention strategy for Silver Springs in Marion County, which is an Outstanding Florida Spring (OFS). Under paragraph 373.042(2)(a), F.S., the Silver Springs MFLs (or emergency MFLs), along with any needed prevention strategy (which may include rules or emergency rules), must be effective by July 1, 2017. This Notice is a correction to the last sentence of the Notice of Rule Workshop published in the Vol. 43 No. 40, February 28, 2017 issue of the Florida Administrative Register, to clarify that the proposed strategy would be a prevention strategy.

    NOTE: Members of the District’s Governing Board may attend the scheduled Rule Development Workshop.
