NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 14, 2019, the Florida Department of Education, received a petition for variance or waiver submitted on behalf of Carmel Lynn Weeks. The petitioner is seeking a variance or waiver of paragraph (7)(b) of Rule 6A-4.0021, F.A.C., Florida Teacher Certification Examination. This rule sets forth the knowledge and skills necessary to be a certified teacher in Florida and the scores on written examinations that demonstrate possession of such knowledge and skills. Petitioner has requested a variance or waiver of the scaled score of at least 200 on the mathematics portion of the General Knowledge Examination (Subtest 4: Mathematics).
