    The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: March 18, 2014, 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m., CDT, meeting; followed by hearing, 6:00 p.m. 6:30 p.m., CDT

    PLACE: Wausau Town Hall, 1607 Second Avenue, Wausau, Florida 32463

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation regarding the multi-lane reconstruction of State Road (S.R.) 77 from one mile south of the Wausau City Limits to one mile north of the Wausau city limits. The public information meeting is being held to provide interested persons an opportunity to preview proposed roadway improvements, which include 3.5 miles of multi-lane reconstruction to widen the existing rural roadway from two to four lanes and construct on a new alignment a portion of S.R. 77 around Wausau, new parallel bridges, safety upgrades, and drainage improvements. Following the public information meeting, a public hearing will be conducted regarding a possible change in the preferred alignment from the alignment selected in the Preliminary Development and Engineering (PD&E) Study conducted in 2006.
