PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To eliminate unnecessary restriction from access to special education services present in Florida’s current rule. The effect will be to eliminate the explicit exclusion of students with a visual impairment that is primarily caused by visual motor or visual perceptual difficulties.
SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Update exceptional student education eligibility for students who are visually impaired to remove explicit exclusion of students who have a visual impairment that is primarily caused by visual motor or visual perceptual difficulties.
