The Florida Department of Transportation District 2 announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: March 18, 2014, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

PLACE: Holiday Inn Express, 537 Chaffee Point Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This meeting is being held to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed improvements of Financial Project ID: 209659-3, otherwise known as US 90 at SR 23 New Interchange, Duval County, Florida. The purpose of this meeting is to review project exhibits and talk to Department staff regarding the new interchange.

State Road 23 is being extended north to US-90 to reduce congestion in the existing I-10/Chaffee Road and I-10/US-301 interchanges. This northern segment of the First Coast Expressway will provide access to I-10 from the distribution centers (Publix, Winn-Dixie, etc.), businesses and residential areas along US 90. It will also allow better access and interaction with the Cecil Commerce Center.
