Notice of Availability of the Addendum to the Finding of No Significant Impact for the Jacksonville Rapid Transit System Phase One Project
Based on the results of the Supplemental Environmental Assessment and the evaluation of alternatives, Final Modified Option E has been identified as the recommended Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA). The LPA includes dedicated transit lanes during peak hours, enhanced transit superstops, streetscape improvements, and other BRT features along portions of Broad and Jefferson Streets, Bay and Forsyth Streets west of Broad Street, the Acosta Bridge, Museum Circle, San Marco Boulevard, Riverplace Boulevard, Prudential Drive, Onyx Street, Louisa Street, and Kings Avenue north of Manning Street. This Environmental Assessment has been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966, Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and other applicable laws, regulations, orders and guidelines. The Federal Transit Administration has found that the development and operation of the above referenced project does not result in any significant impacts on the environment.
