The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on January 9, 2014, by Laurie Nienhaus. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Vol. 40, No. 24, of the February 5, 2014 Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver of Rule 64B7-32.002, F.A.C., in order to recognize Adrianne Professional Center c/k/a Oregon School of Massage, and Rule 64B7-32.003, F.A.C., that requires a minimum of 500 classroom hours. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on February 27, 2014, in Tallahassee, Florida.
The Board’s Order, filed on March 6, 2014, denied the petition because the applicant has not met or cannot meet the purpose of the underlying statute.
