    The State Board of Education announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: March 19, 2019, 9:00 a.m.

    PLACE: The Capitol, 400 S. Monroe Street, Room LL03, Tallahassee, FL 32399.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The meeting agenda will consist of approval of minutes from State Board meetings held December 17, 2018 and January 16, 2019, and updates from the College Board; the Progress of Executive Orders; the Education Practices Commission; the Florida College System – President Jim Murdaugh on behalf of the Council of Presidents; and K-12 Public Schools – Superintendent William Husfelt on behalf of the Florida Association of District School Superintendents; and Status Reports on Turnaround Option Plans for Nocatee Elementary School, DeSoto County; and Evergreen Elementary School, Marion County. Additional items for consideration include action relating to the following: Approval of Amendment to Rule 6A-4.0021, F.A.C., Florida Teacher Certification Examinations; Approval of New Baccalaureate Degree Program in the Florida College System; Approval of Amendment to Rule 6A-1.09441, F.A.C., Requirements for Programs and Courses Which are Funded Through the Florida Education Finance Program and for Which the Student May Earn Credit Toward High School Graduation; Approval of Amendment to Rule 6A-6.0574, F.A.C., CAPE Postsecondary Industry Certification Funding List; Approval of Amendment and Renewal of the Contract between the State Board of Education and SEED School of Miami, Inc.; and Adoption of Resolutions Authorizing the Issuance and Sale of Not Exceeding $640,000,000 State of Florida, Full Faith and Credit, State Board of Education Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Refunding Bonds, 2019 Series (to be determined).
