The University of Florida, Purchasing and Disbursement Services will receive sealed bids for the following: ITB09SVF-147, Fine Arts A&B Bldgs. 597 and 598 Roof Replacement, estimated budget: $650,000, to be opened May 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in 101 Elmore Hall, Radio Road, Gainesville, FL. Scope of work: For Fine Arts Building A the work includes the removal of the entire roof system on the main building and bridge connection to Building C. The existing pitch based gravel coated built-up roof is to be removed down to the existing layer of lightweight concrete on Fine Arts A and the pitch based, slag coated, built-up roof and wood fiber insulation board are to be removed down to the concrete deck on the bridge connection, including all membranes, cants, coping, clips, fasteners, flashing, counter flashing, etc. For Fine Arts Building B the work includes the removal of the entire roof system on the north and south buildings as well as the connection in between as shown on the documents. The existing pitch based gravel coated built-up roof and upper layer of lightweight insulating concrete are to be removed down to the lower layer of lightweight concrete, including all membranes, cants, coping, clips, fasteners, flashing, counter flashing, etc. Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held March 23, 2009, 10:00 a.m., in the PPD A/E Conference Room, Building 700, Radio Road, Gainesville, FL.
