NOTICE TO PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANTS

Request for Qualifications – RFQ 09-35

Annual Professional Engineering Services

The University of North Florida, Board of Trustees, a public body corporate, announces that Professional Engineering Services for miscellaneous projects each not exceeding $1,000,000 in total construction cost and studies each not exceeding $100,000 in fees. The University will be awarding two (2) contracts per professional engineering discipline, for Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil and one (1) Structural. Award of contract is for an initial period of one (1) year with an Owner’s option to renew for up to three (3) additional years with the agreement of both parties.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Firms desiring to apply for consideration shall submit a letter of application with the appropriate documents from RFQ 09-35 Annual Professional Engineering Services.

The letter of application should have attached:

1.     The most recent version of the “UNF Professional Qualifications Supplement,” completed by the applicant. Applications on any other form will not be considered.

2.     A copy of the applicant’s current Professional Registration Certificate from the appropriate governing board. An applicant must be properly registered at the time of application to practice its profession in the State of Florida. If the applicant is a corporation, it must be chartered by the Florida Department of State to operate in Florida.

3.     Submit six (6) copies of the above requested data bound in the order listed above. Applications which do not comply with the above instructions may be disqualified. Application materials will not be returned.

Minority Business participation is encouraged; however, it will not be considered in the scoring process

As required by Section 287.133, Florida Statutes, a consultant may not submit a proposal for this project if it is on the convicted vendor list for a public entity crime committed within the past 36 months. The selected consultant must warrant that it will neither utilize the services of, nor contract with, any supplier, subcontractor, or consultant in excess of $15,000.00 in connection with this project for a period of 36 months from the date of their being placed on the convicted vendor list.

Vendor shall have established equal opportunity practices which conform to all laws against discrimination and prohibits discrimination based on race, creed, color, sex, age, national origin, marital status or religion; neither Vendor nor any subcontractor or other person, firm or business entity with whom it would be engaged in a combined effort to perform the services has hired any person who is an officer or employee of UNF.
